Pre-order terms and conditions: If your order is "arriving soon" it is manufactured and on the way to Cape Town. It is not in Cape Town. In recent months we have seen an increase in port congestion which has caused delays in Singapore, resulting in our containers being rolled over onto the next ship and arriving later than expected. We cannot commit to an exact arrival date until the container is placed onto a ship bound for Cape Town. Once it leaves Singapore, it usually arrives within 3 weeks, as we pre-clear our containers. We cannot predict weather delays and random customs inspections, which do happen from time to time.
Please let us know within seven days of placing your order if you would like to cancel your order and request a full refund. We will refund you and cancel the order without penalty or delay. If we do not hear back from you within seven days, we will accept your order, and you will be bound by our terms below.
Eight Degrees South shall use all reasonable efforts to make prompt deliveries in a commercially reasonable manner. Delivery dates and estimates are, however, not guaranteed. Eight Degrees South disclaims any liability or responsibility for any delayed deliveries, and the buyer shall hold Eight Degrees harmless for the late delivery of a product and shall not be entitled to cancel any orders due to any delays. The buyer shall have no right to refuse delivery or acceptance on the basis that same is delayed.
All sales made for pre-ordered and made-for-you products are final, and Eight Degrees does not offer any refunds. The buyer recognises and agrees that you shall not be entitled to a refund for any purchase under any circumstances.
The buyer will only be entitled to a refund on defective products as a result of a manufacturing defect, being a defect in the product that was not intended.
In the event that you are in receipt of a defective product, which determination shall be made by Eight Degrees in its sole and unfettered discretion, Eight Degrees will provide a cash refund. Eight Degrees reserves the right to decline any refunds on non-defective products.
In order to be entitled to a refund on defective products, as determined by Eight Degrees, notice of the defective product must be brought to Eight Degrees' attention within two business days of the buyer being in receipt of the defective product. Eight Degrees South is not liable for damages during the delivery process. Please request insurance when booking the courier.
The cash refund process may take 7 -14 business days upon delivery of the defective product to Eight Degrees. Shipping and handling fees are not refundable.
You must redeem any online store credit on or before the lapse of one calendar month from the date of issue.
The buyer acknowledges that products are made using natural materials such as raw, treated and untreated wood, Rattan and plant material which is a natural product that responds to temperature and humidity variations by expanding and contracting, which may result in cracking and splitting. This is a natural process, and the product is not deemed defective in such instances.
All products are handmade, one piece at a time, using natural materials. No two pieces will ever be exactly alike due to the handmade nature of our products. Any irregularities, colour variances or imperfections in our product should not be considered flaws but confirm this process. Splits and cracks can occur when wood shrinks as it dries. We will not accept returns for the reasons mentioned above.
